Elmer Davis Jr.
Elmer Davis has well over 25 years of progressive experience in marketing and finance, including working with private and non-profit organizations as well as Fortune 500 corporations. Mr. Davis began his business career in marketing with Bristol-Myers in Washington, DC in the early 80’s. He later worked with Mobil Oil Corporation in US Resale Marketing within the Administration and Budget Center in Fairfax, VA. Mr. Davis further developed his financial expertise working in Budget and Reimbursement at Howard University Hospital while obtaining his MBA. Mr. Davis was also a partner with Anderson, Philips, Davis, and Hoffmann operating in Washington DC, NYC and Los Angeles, CA. Mr. Davis has served as Executive Vice-President and Chief Diversity Officer for Financial Dimensions, Inc., and was honored in 2005 as the Nation’s Diversity Champion by the Mortgage Bankers Association for his Regional Diversity Initiative monetizing the impact inclusiveness and emerging markets. He worked more recently as Senior VP with AllDocs, Inc., outsourcing financial functions for banking clients. Mr. Davis has had a heavy investment baking focus since the dissolution of Anderson, Philips, Davis, and Hoffman in 2006.

Elmer has also published with a select group of business experts and entrepreneurs from around the world—along with best-selling author and business development expert Brian Tracy—to co-write UNcommon: Common Sense but Uncommon Knowledge from Today's Leading Entrepreneurs and Professionals to Help You Lead an Extraordinary Life of Health, Wealth and Success. His most recently released book, The Road to Success Vol. 2, is a powerful compendium of practical life and business applications, co-written with professional development guru Jack Canfield.
Mr. Davis is well regarded as a facilitator and trainer having worked with numerous organizations in various industries providing specialized training to maximize profits through human resource productivity, asset management, pricing, and expense control. He has provided board leadership and oversight, with Resilience Advocacy Project in New York, NY to end inter-generational poverty as well as hands-on functional training with YouthBuild Pittsburgh. He is widely recognized as an advisor and business leader. He has conducted intercultural workshops and leadership training forums for clients in numerous industry segments including the public and private sectors and major universities. He has written several articles including: “Understanding the Communication Environment” “The true costs of miscommunication” “Effective strategies for business growth,” “Financial management for cash flow and profits,” and "Embracing Workplace Diversity and Eliminating Employment Discrimination."
Mr. Davis has appeared on various television and radio programs throughout his career. He was a recent guest on MIT University radio WMBR discussing business leadership and the importance of communication in executing marketing strategies. His interdisciplinary perspective has been reinforced by long experience, academic preparation, and extensive inter-cultural travel on business and humanitarian projects throughout the world. He was recently a featured guest on The Brian Tracy Show. “The Brian Tracy Show”, filmed in San Diego, California, features an interview format and is hosted by best-selling author Brian Tracy, one of the country’s leading business minds. The episode aired on NBC, CBS, ABC and FOX affiliates across the country.
Mr. Davis is extremely honored and proud to have received two Emmy awards as an Executive Producer for the documentary, Return to Esperanza. Esperanza International has funded micro-loans in the impoverished regions of the Dominican Republic. These loans have helped over 200,000 families start and build small businesses, lifting countless women and children out of poverty. Mr. Davis’ international interests and commitment did not end with executive producing the documentary. He has also had multiple speaking opportunities as an expert presenter at the United Nations speaking specifically on global economies.
